Who we are

Our website address is: https://www.culturalcatalystconsulting.com.

Privacy and Your Data

We believe in your privacy.  It’s your data, not our data, nor big data.

We consider any information about you or your behavior that can be traced back to you as personal data.

Our Data Practices

General Non-Collection of Data

Unlike most websites, you can view website and we do not collect any personally identifiable data.  Not your IP address, your viewing history, your geo-location, your browser or computer information, your data of birth, or anything else that could identify you.  We do not use cookies, web beacons, Google Analytics or any similar service.  You can view our site and leave, and we will never know you visited.

We do not accept any payments through our website, accordingly no financial information about you is collected or stored via our website.

Specific Collection of Voluntarily Provided Data

If you want us to have any information about you, then you need to voluntarily contact us via our website form, our email address, or our phone number.  If you choose to contact us, then we will only have whatever information you have voluntarily shared.  This might include something like an email address and whatever name you choose to share with us.

This data will only be used in a way that you would expect, and that is in a manner to respond to your inquiry.  Due to the nature of exploring and negotiating consulting services, responses to inquiries may require extended communication over weeks and months.  If such communication does not lead to us providing a project or service for you, then any such communication is automatically purged from our email system within two years.

We do not maintain a separate list of non-clients who have contacted us.  Accordingly, we will not add you to any marketing lists, nor sell your information to any third-parties.

If the result of your inquiry leads to us providing some service to you, whether paid, at-cost, or pro-bono, then we treat these as client records and do retain them in our company records.  (Client records are discussed below).

Deleting Your Voluntarily Shared Non-Client Data

Email inquiries are automatically purged from our system, at the most, within two years. If you would like your email address and emails deleted prior to this, please contact us at support@culturalcatalystconsulting.com.  All such requests for deletion will be completed at the most within 30 days, and usually within a week.

Specific Sharing of Voluntarily Provided Data

We do not share your data with third parties, unless it is an essential part of providing our service to you.

As a consulting business, we seek to provide our clients and potential clients with excellent service.  In order to do this, for some projects or services, we may partner with or sub-contract with a specialized service provider or providers.  In such a situation, your information may be shared with the third-party service provider if it is relevant to them being able to provide their service that we have requested from them.

Storage of Client Data

For clients that we have provided services for, whether paid, at cost, or pro-bono, we treat any related documents or communications as client records and may retain them in our long-term company records.

These business records are digitally stored encrypted, and will not be sold to any third party, and would only be shared in the case of a legal warrant by a government with relevant jurisdiction.  At the time of the writing of this privacy policy (January 28, 2020), we have never received any such request or warrant by any government for sharing client data (nor non-client data).

“Do not track” Requests

Because we already do not collect information about your online activities over time or across third-party websites or online services, this means we are not able to, nor is there any need to process a browser’s Do Not Track settings.

The use of Google’s reCaptcha

Our website is hosted on Dreamhost servers and are built using WordPress tools.  If unusual traffic to our website is detected, then Google’s reCaptcha may be used to ensure that an actual person is trying to access our site.  Google’s reCAPTCHA is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.

Updates to Our Privacy Policy

Our Privacy Policy undergoes regular reviews.  As laws change, our business grows, or services expand on our website, it may require updates to our policy.  Such changes are likely to be minor, and will not change our fundamental commitment to respecting and protecting your privacy.

When changes are made, we will modify the “last updated” date found at the top of our Privacy Policy.  Because we do not maintain mailing lists or track those who visit our site, we are not able to notify via email when changes have occurred, thus we encourage you to periodically review our Privacy Statement. If substantial changes are made to the policy, not only will we change the “last updated” date on our Privacy Policy, but we will also place a notice onto the homepage of our website for two months.  Your further use of our website or services after a change to our Privacy Policy will be subject to the terms of our updated policy.
